Adjust the VR on the Carriage Board so that the

[OUTPUT LEVEL] will be 0.5 - 0.7V.

AUTOTEST] menu.
Press the [ENTER] key to carry out the test and make
sure the voltage is 0.5-1.0V and the NOISE is 0.
If the voltage is less than 0.3V, increase the voltage for 0.1V in the [OUTPUT LEVEL] menu and carry out

the [SENSOR AUTOTEST] for checking.
If the voltage is more than 1.0V, decrease the voltage for 0.1V in the [OUTPUT LEVEL] menu and carry out
the [SENSOR AUTOTEST] for checking.
If the NOISE is more than 0, try the followings.
1. Clean the REFLECTION TAPE.
2. Replace the REFLECTION TAPE with new one in case of scratch.
If adhesion of a tape remains on the Bed or the dust sticks on the reverse side of
a tape when you replace refl ective tape, a sensor cannot read correctly.
Fix the Carriage Cover.

Fix the Carriage Cover temporarily with the 2 screws as shown in
the fi gure. And tighten them without distorting the Cover.
Be careful not to distort the Carriage Cover.
The Carriage can be distorted and it may cause the
head position problem.
The screws for fi xing the Carriage
Cover are the screw with washer.
