Maintenance
Explain the following items referring to the User's Manual [Chapter 4 Maintenance].
Each day, before starting the day's operations, be sure to remove the white ink cartridges and shake them
gently, then reinsert them.
The ingredients in white ink tend to settle.
Checking for Remaining Ink and Replacing Cartridges
- Checking for Remaining Ink
- How to Replace Ink Cartridges
!! IMPORTANT !!
- Shake the cartridge gently before installing a ECO-UV ink cartridge.
- Be sure to replace with the same type of ink. Never mix different type of ink.
- Never leave the machine with any ink cartridge removed. The print heads may become clogged.
- Never insert and remove any ink cartridges frequently. Air may leak into the ink tube and may cause
missing dots. * White ink cartridge should be shaken gently before starting operation in order to avoid
settling.
- At the seam where the printing is paused, the coloring may be altered when printing resumes. Before
you perform lengthy printing, check the amount of ink remaining in the ink cartridges.
- Never store ink at any locations where high temperature may occur or exposed to open ame.
- Store the ink cartridge without opening it under 5 to 35 C degrees temperature, 20 to 80 % humidity.
- When you remove an ink cartridge from the machine, be sure to put it in the original aluminum bag
immediately. Even short time exposure to the room light can cause the ink around the connection part
of the ink cartridge to harden.
- When you open the ink cartridge cover and leave the machine, the ink cartridges are exposed to direcrt
sunlight or strong illumination. If the ink cartridges are exposed to them, the ink inside the cartridges
will be hardened. After you change the ink cartridges, be sure to close the ink cartridge cover.
