Select how to use tension bar according to

the media seting method.
• In this case, select "OFF".
(DL= direct-connection unit, TL= torque limiter
- - = unit OFF)
• Press [][] to select "OFF" and press the
[ENTER] key.

• If you switch both "FEEDING TENSION BAR" and
"TAKE-UP TENSION BAR" off in "SETTING
FEEDING AND TAKE-UP UNIT" in the machine
setup ( P.2-9), the "SELECT USE TENSION-
BAR" screen does not appear. (The media
selection screen appears.)
Set media on the feeding side.

• Perform the operations from steps 4 to 8
described in P.2-16 "Using the tension bar".
• When using paper media, the tension bar must be
moved.

described in "P.2-16 "Using the tension bar"".

• When [MEDIA DETECT] of the machine setup is
"MANUAL" ( P.3-16), refer to P.2-27 "Setting
of the manual media width setting" and enter the
media width.
• When [MEDIA RESIDUAL] of the machine setup
is "ON" ( P.3-15), the screen for entering
media remaining amount is displayed after
detecting the media width.(

(Tx300P-1800 MkII only)
Only the Tx300P-1800 MkII supports paper media
(transfer paper).
Setting up the roll media (paper media) does not require
use of the tension bar.
When setting media, read the following notes carefully.
• To set roll media without using tension bar, replace
direct-connection unit attached to feeding/take-up
device with torque limiter that comes with the
product.
• To print continuously without using tension bar,
limit the media length to approximately 10 m. If
you want to continuously print more than 10 m,
use tension bar to set media.
The path when setting up the paper media (transfer
paper) is shown in the following figure.
Prior to setting the media, if you understand the routing of
the media, you can perform the setting of the media
smoothly.
• If a tension roller is provided, pass the media
between the roller and the main unit.
• Set the folding bar in a hole where it does not
interfere with the media.
Remove the take-up folding bar.

• Remove the take-up folding bar to prevent it from
interfering with the media.
