● Torque limiter adjustment
Clockwise turn :
Increases torque (a heavy and thicker media such as
tarpaulin or the like)
Counterclockwise turn :
Decreases torque (For light media)

• When the torque limiter is adjusted too weak ;
The media can not be taken up firmly.
• When the torque limiter is adjusted too strong ;
The slack may occur depending on the media and
cause influence on the image quality.
• When using the tension bar,
adjust the torque limiter at about
75 to 100% of the maximum
torque.
When adjusting the torque
limiter, use the torque
adjustment handle supplied.
• When the tension is set to be high, depending on
the type of media, the edge of the roll media may
shift in the lateral direction. In such a case, use the

media edge guide.

• There are the following two methods for taking up
the media on printer:
(1) Only use the take-up device to take up the
media
(2) Use the tension bar to take up the media
• Tension bar is located on both the feeding side
and the take-up side. You can select between

when reattaching from the torque limiter to the motor
direct connection unit.

connection unit match the groove of the feeding/
take-up device when attaching the motor direct-
connection unit.

Media Edge Guide

The media edge of the taken up roll media may shift
laterally. In such cases, use the Media Edge Guide to
prevent the lateral shifting.
• When using the media edge guide, the roll media
diameter is limited.
• Use within dia.200mm to 120mm. (Varies
depending on the position of the edge guide)

• The set position of the Media Edge Guide defers
depending on the diameter of the roll media of
before printing. Refer to the table below for
adjustment.
