Chapter 4 Maintenance
• Put a cap on the waste
ink tank removed.
Replace the waste ink tank.

(1) Prepare a new waste ink tank (SPA-0246) or
discard waste ink from current waste ink
tank.
(2) Insert the waste ink tank by holding a handle
of the tank.

• Waste ink is equivalent to waste oil of industrial
waste. Request an industrial waste disposal
company for disposal of waste ink.
Close the waste ink tank stopper.

• The ink discharging amount that is controlled by
the machine is reset and the message is
canceled.

Replacing the Cap Absorber

Cap Absorber (PN:SPA-0269) is a consumable item. If the
dirt is severe or the ink falls off from the carriage, replace
it.
Press
(MENU)

in LOCAL.
• MAINTENANCE MENU will be displayed.
Press the

• The carriage moves onto the platen.
Open the front cover.

Remove the Cap Absorber.

• Remove the clasps at the front (2 points) and pull
it out.
Insert a new Cap Absorber.

• Align the notches with the protrusions at the back
and install it.
When replacement is complete, press the
