Feeding/ Take-up device

With the switch of the feeding/ take-up device, select the
take-up direction of the media or others.

(When you press the button and
ON/OFF button operate the feeding device, the
device keeps taking up the media
until you press the button again.

lasts while the ON/OFF button is being pressed. For details, refer to

Note that the ON/OFF button for feeding device is also located near
the clamp lever in the back of the machine. Use the button that is
easier to use when setting media.

Replacing the direct-connection unit
The feeding and take-up device direct-connection unit is
also included when you purchase the product. If you do
not use feeding/take-up tension bar, replace direct-
connection unit with torque limiter.
The feeding and take-up torque can be adjusted with the
torque limiter.
(The torque limiter is set to "Medium" at delivery.)
• When using paper media (transfer paper), use

Chapter 2 Basic Operation
● Torque limiter attachment
To wind the media without using tension bar, you must
replace direct-connection unit with torque limiter.
Remove the direct-connection unit.

• Remove the thumbscrew, and then remove the
direct-connection unit.
Attach the Torque limiter.

(1) Insert so that the projection of the Torque
limiter match the groove of the feeding/ take-
up device.
(2) As shown in the illustration, attach it so that the tip
of the shaft of the feeding/ take-up device
matches the surface of the Torque limiter.
• As shown in the figure, attach it so that the tip of
the shaft of the take-up device matches the
surface of the torque limiter. If the tip of the shaft
and the surface of the torque limiter does not
match, the take-up of the media will not run well.
