PART 6-4-4-SPEED FULLY SYNCHRONIZED MANUAL TRANSMISSION
35. Install the filler and drain plugs
in the case if they were removed.
Make sure that the magnetic plug is
installed in the bottom of the case.
36. Pour the specified lubricant
over the entire gear train while
rotating the input shaft.
37. Place each shift fork in all posi-
tions to make sure that they operate
properly.
38. Use a new cover gasket and in-
stall the cover. Coat the cover attach-
ing screws with sealer and install and
tighten them to specifications.
39. Coat the third- and fourth-
speed shift rail plug bore with a
sealer and install a new expansidh
plug.
40. If the extension housing bush-
ing and seal are to be replaced, refer
to page
6-7.
