lockwashers and nuts, tightening to
20-25 lbs. ft. torque. (Large lever to
the front camshaft, small to the rear).

If removed install a new welsh
plug in the front face of the case, en-
suring that it does not project above
the case face, Fig. 45
.

Position the top cover gasket,
install the top cover, tighten the six
bolts and lock washers to 8-12lbs. ft.
torque. Use sealer on bolt threads.

Fit the steel filler plug and
brass magnetic drain plug. Tighten-
ing to 20-25 lbs.

32. If it is necessary to fit a new
breather in the extension housing it
must be fitted with the flat on the
breather body on the left hand side
and parallel with the centre line of the
transmission. (Fig. 35,Page 6-17).
33.
Check transmission operation
in all gear positions.
