Current derating depending on the installation altitude
Above 1000 m above sea level you must reduce the inverter output current as a result of the
lower cooling capability of the air.
Motor speed
The speed at which the motor is running affects the temperature that is generated by the
motor. At times it may be necessary to derate the speed of the motor by decrease the input
current from the converter.
The derating curve in relationship to the input current from the converter is shown in the
following diagram.
