Basic Commissioning with DIP switches

Overview
The CU240M Control Modules have been designed to allow basic commissioning to be
performed using a set of three DIP switches. The DIP switches are located on the Control
Module, as shown in the figure below.
NOTICE
CU240M Control Modules naming convention
Although the CU240M is given a Control Unit designation, the actual device is called a
Control Module. The reason for the naming convention is that the Terminal Housing, the
Communications and Power Interface, including the Control Module comprise all the
components that make up a standard Control Unit configuration; but when assembly and
installing the SINAMICS G110M system, the Control Module requires a unique designation
so that it can be easily identified in the installation procedures.
