Procedure 9-4 Problem: Unsure of the status of my server

The server executable provides flags that can be used to determine the status of the
server, including the following:

Fine-tune the number of threads that are available to handle general deployment
requests from the clients to the network and the threads that are available to handle
statistics collection from network devices.

Go to the install directory/nms/config directory.
ii
Open the nms-server.xml key file using a text editor.
iii
Search for the following text: deploymentWorker.
iv
Update the number of threads available. The range is 1 to 30. The default is 10.
The nePoolSize specifies the number of deployment threads. Increase the
number, depending on the increase in the amount of client configuration
activity, or the number of network devices.
The statsPoolSize specifies the number of statistics collection threads.
Increase the number, depending on the increase in the interval and number
of statistics collected from network devices, or the number of devices from
which statistics are collected.

Save the changes and close the file.

Open a shell or window.
Go to the install directory bin directory or folder.
Launch the nmsserver.bash or nmsserver.bat executable with the following flag:
nmsserver.* executable flag ↵
where
nmsserver.* is either nmsserver.bash or nmsserver.bat
executable flag is one of the options in Table 9-1
