Procedure 8-6 Problem: Cannot communicate with the 5620 SAM
server
Check the following:

Click the Backup/Restore Policy tab button.
Verify the following parameter settings:
Backup Mode
FTP User Name
FTP User Password
Scheduled Backup Scheme
Scheduled Backup Frequency
Scheduled Backup Threshold (operations)
CLI Config File Mode
Boot Option File Mode
Boot Option File Path
5620 SAM Server Repository Root Path
Modify the parameters settings if required.
Click the Apply button to save any changes.
Click the Backup/Restore Status tab button.
The devices are listed and backup and restore status information is displayed.
To view additional information, choose a device from the list and click the View
button.
The Backup/Restore Manager form with the General tab button appears. Backup
and Restore information is displayed. Click on the Backup Folders and the Faults
tab buttons to view additional troubleshooting information.
The 5620 SAM client points to the correct IP address and port of the server.
That the problem is not a network management domain LAN issue. See chapter
6 for more information.
The server PC or workstation, or the server process on the PC or workstation, is
not responding correctly, or is not running.
To check that the 5620 SAM client points to the correct IP address and port of the
server, open the nms-client.xml file using a text editor. The default file location is
install directory/nms/config.
Verify the IP address of the server as specified by the ejbServerHost parameter.
Verify the server port as specified by the ejbServerPort parameter.
Modify the parameters if required.
Save the file if required.
