Sample Recording

This shows the number of the session that is loaded. If no SD card
is inserted, this indicates "--."
Session No.
This shows the session that is loaded. If no SD card is inserted, this
indicates "--."
PAD No.
[A01...A16, B01...B16...H01...H16]
This shows the bank and pad number.
Time Location/Max Time
This shows the current recording time and the maximum
recordable time.
Status/Trigger
This shows the status such as stop, record-standby, or recording.
Level Meter
The INPUT level meter shows the level of the external audio that
is being input to the KROSS. The OUTPUT level meter shows the
level of the sound that is being output to L/R (the sound of the
KROSS, external audio input, audio recorder playback). During
recording, this will be the recording level.
Auto Rec Start
[Off, Note-On, SEQ START, Input Low, Input High]
This setting specifies how recording will start after you press the
MENU (Rec Control) button to enter the record-standby state.
Off: Recording starts when you press the MENU (Rec Control)
button.
Note-On: Recording starts when you play the keyboard.
Alternatively, recording starts when a MIDI note-on message is
received from an external device.
SEQ START: Recording starts when you press the SEQUENCER
(START/STOP) button.
Input Low: Recording starts when the audio input level exceeds
approximately -18 dB.
Input High: Recording starts when the audio input level exceeds
approximately -6 dB.
Note: This Auto (Auto Rec Start) setting is linked with the Auto
Rec Start setting in the GLOBAL> PREF 2 page and the Audio
Recorder Setup dialog box. The setting is remembered
automatically.

Edit Sample
Note: If you don't close the EDIT SAMPLE window, the edited
content is not saved to the Korg format sample file on the SD card.

BANK - Pad No.
This shows the pad number and sample name.
Waveform display (including Start Point and End Point
indications)
This shows the waveform of the sample.

Ch
This selects the channel of the waveform that is displayed. The
default setting is L.
Start Point
End Point
These settings select the region of the sample that will play back.
The Start Point and End Point cannot be set so that there is less
than 7 points between them.
LOOP
This selects whether the sample will play as a loop. If loop
playback is specified, the region between the start point and end
point of the sample will play repeatedly. The default setting is Off.
GATE
This selects whether the sample uses gate playback. If gate
playback is specified, the sample plays only while you hold down
the pad.
Lv (Level)
This specifies the level at which the sample plays.
