Audio Recorder: Function

Procedure for each function
1. Press the FUNCTION button to open the function list.
2. Adjust settings in the dialog box.
For details on the settings in each dialog box, refer to the
explanation of each function.
Press the OK button to execute, or press the Cancel button if
you decide not to execute.
Create New Audio Song
This function creates a new audio song.
Rename Audio Song
Here you can rename the selected song. A name of up to 16
characters can be input.
For more information, please see "Editing names" on page 124 of
the Operation Guide.
Delete Audio Song
This function deletes an audio song.
All: All audio songs will be deleted.
Current: The currently selected audio song will be deleted.
Audio Recorder: Function Create New Audio Song
Export
Exports (writes) a multi-track recorded audio song to the SD card
as a WAVE file.
This lets you use your audio player to listen to an audio song
produced on the KROSS, or to load the song into your DAW.
• File format: WAVE format uncompressed linear PCM
• Sample bit depth: 16-bit
• Sampling frequency: 48 kHz
Number of characters in file name: The first eight characters are
shown
Audio Song No.: The audio song that will be exported. If you
want to rename the file, use the text dialog box to enter a name.
Level Adjust
Raises or lowers the volume of the WAVE file that will be
exported.
When you press the OK button, the selected audio song will be
exported as a WAVE file.
The WAVE file will be created in the KORG/KROSS2/DATA
folder of the SD card.
Note: Stop the audio song before you execute this function.
Note: This may take some time, depending on the length of the
song.
Note: During execution, you can cancel by pressing the
FUNCTION (ABORT) button.
Set Play Level
Temporarily lowers the playback volume of audio songs.
Note: This will change the volume of all audio songs. When you
turn off the power, the volume will return to its previous setting.
Level
[-42, -36, -32, -30, -28, -26...+00 dB]
Specifies the volume. This is an adjustment in dB units relative to
the original volume. You can adjust this while the audio song
plays.
If you lower the volume, the following message will appear.
NOTICE: Overdubbing with this Level setting will attenuate the
sections of previous takes by the same amount. Use ADJ. LVL to
adjust the Audio Song and avoid uneven audio levels.
If you want to save the song with its adjusted volume, press the
ADJ. LVL button to execute the Adjust Audio Level function.
Note: Note: In the Adjust Audio Level dialog box, the Level
Adjust value will automatically be set to the Level value that's
specified in the Set Play Level dialog box.
Note: Set Audio Play setting is linked with Set Play Level
(AudioPlay/Pad/USB) in the GLOBAL> PREF 2 page. It can be
set from either place. This simultaneously controls the pad sampler
and USB audio input as well as the audio song. (→p.195)
