This function is valid only when the current directory is a DOS
directory.
Enter a name, and execute the Save operation. (For details on how
to rename, see page 124 of the Operation Guide.)
For example if you specify NEWFILE and execute the save
operation, files named NEWFILE.PCG and NEWFILE.SNG will
be saved to the media.
Global, Media: FUNCTION Save SEQ
Save SEQ
Save SEQ is available on the MEDIA> FILE page.
This function saves all songs from internal memory as a .SNG file.
This function is valid only when the current directory is a DOS
directory.
Enter a name, and execute the Save operation. (For details on how
to rename, see page 124 of the Operation Guide.)
For example, if you specify NEWFILE and execute the save
function, a file named NEWFILE.SNG will be saved to the media.
Save to Standard MIDI File
Save to Standard MIDI File is available on the MEDIA> FILE
page.
This function saves the selected song from internal memory to
storage media as a .MID file (Standard MIDI File).
This function is valid only when the current directory is a DOS
directory.
1. In Song, choose the song that you wish to save.
2. Specify the filename. (see page 124 of the Operation Guide)
By default, the first eight characters (uppercase) of the song name
will be assigned automatically.
3. Use the "Format" field to specify the format.
Format 0 will save sixteen channels of MIDI data together in a
single track.
Format 1 will save each MIDI channel to a separate track.
The song data that you save here can be played back on a device
that supports Standard MIDI Files. However if you intend to play
back the data on the KROSS, we recommend that you use "Save
SEQ" to save the data, since this will be more easily recreated.
Rename
Rename is available on the MEDIA> UTILITY page.
This function renames the selected file or directory.
This function is valid only when a DOS file or a DOS directory is
selected.
1. Select the file or directory whose name you want to edit.
2. Select "Rename" to open the dialog box.
3. Press the ENTER button to access the text input dialog box,
and edit the name. (see page 124 of the Operation Guide).
