Pad sampler
EDIT SAMPLE window
Sample editing is performed in this window.
FUNCTION (FUNC) button
This button lets you execute functions such as renaming a sample
or removing unwanted portions from a sample.
PAGE- (V/H), PAGE+ (ZOOM-), MENU (ZOOM+) button
You can use the PAGE+ (ZOOM-) and MENU (ZOOM+) buttons
to zoom-out or zoom-in on the waveform display. To zoom the
amplitude axis, highlight V (Vertical); to zoom the time axis,
highlight H (Horizontal). To switch the amplitude axis and time
axis, press the PAGE- (V/H) button.
How to sampleing
1. Select the sound or song that you want to sample.
2. Press the EXIT button (
ACTIVE button (
SETUP window.
3. Either press the pad to which you want to assign the sam-
ple, or use the cursor buttons to select it; then press the
MENU (REC) button located below the display to access
the SAMPLING STANDBY window.
4. After you've made sampling settings such as the record-
start mode and the volume, press the MENU (RecControl)
button to enter the record-standby state. If you want to
record the external audio input, press the A-IN button at
this point and make external audio input settings.
5. Press the MENU (Rec Control) button to start sampling.
Sampling occurs when you play the KROSS or input exter-
nal audio within the recordable time shown in Time Loca-
tion. When you press the PAGE+ (Stop) button, sampling
stops and the operation ends.
Note: Recording automatically stops if the maximum recordable
time elapses.
6. When you stop sampling, the edit sample window appears,
allowing you to rename the sample or specify the playback
method.

Sampler setup

Session No.
This shows the session that is loaded. If no SD card is inserted, this
indicates "--."
PAD No.
[A01...A16, B01...B16...H01...H16]
This shows the bank and pad number.
Sample Name
This is the name of the assigned sample. If no sample is assigned,
this indicates EMPTY.
LOOP ON/OFF
This is shown if LOOP is on. The playback method can be
specified in the edit sample window.
GATE ON/OFF
This is shown if GATE is on. The playback method can be
specified in the edit sample window.
