NOTICE: Overdubbing with this Level setting will attenuate the
sections of previous takes by the same amount. Use ADJ. LVL to
adjust the Audio Song and avoid uneven audio levels.
If you use this level setting to overdub-record a portion of the
song while playing back the previous take, the volume of the
previous take will be lower only for the recorded portion. To
avoid the problem of the decreased volume, use ADJ. LVL to
adjust the level of the audio song.
If you want to save the song with its adjusted volume, press the
ADJ. LVL button to execute the Adjust Audio Level function.
Note: The Level Adjust value in the Adjust Audio Level dialog
box is automatically set to the Level value that is specified in the
Set Play Level dialog box.
Adjust Audio Level
Increases or decreases the volume of an audio song, and creates a
separate song.
Note: This adjustment is for a single song.
Audio Song No.: The audio song that will be adjusted. If you want
to rename the song, use the text dialog box to enter a name.
Level Adjust
Increases or decreases the volume of the audio song that will be
created.
When you press the OK button, the selected audio song will be
created with the volume that you specified. The audio song whose
level you adjusted will automatically be selected. At this time, the
value after adjustment will be 0 dB.
Note: Note: The level adjustment will not be executed while the
audio song is playing. Stop the audio song before you execute this
function.
Note: This may take some time, depending on the length of the
song.
Note: During execution, you can cancel by pressing the
FUNCTION (ABORT) button.
If you overdub-record the guitar solo with
SET PLAY LEVEL left at –3 dB. The volume
of the previous take (drums & bass) will be
3 dB lower for a portion of the recording,
causing an unnatural result.
If you overdub-record the guitar solo after
using ADJUST AUDIO LEVEL to lower the
volume of the previous take by 3 dB.
Unnatural volume changes will not occur
in the previous take (drums & bass).
