Global/Media mode
Delete
Delete is available on the MEDIA> UTILITY page.
This function deletes the selected file or directory.
This function is valid only if a DOS file or directory is selected.
1. Select the file or directory that you want to delete.
2. Select "Delete" to open the dialog box.
3. Delete will indicate the name of the selected file or direc-
tory.
If you wish to change the file or directory that is to be deleted,
press the ENTER button to access the text input dialog box, and
specify the name of the file or directory that you wish to delete.
(see page 124 of the Operation Guide)
Using [*/? ]as a Wildcard: When you use the text edit button to
access the text input dialog box and specify the name of the file to
be deleted, you can use the "*" or "?" characters as wildcards. This
allows you to simultaneously delete multiple files with identical
filenames and different extensions.
When wildcards are used, only files will be subject to
deletion. Directories will not be deleted.
Format
Format is available on the MEDIA> UTILITY page.
This function formats the media that's inserted in the KROSS. The
volume label (a name for the entire media) you specify will be
assigned to the media. The volume label you assign here will be
displayed in the SD Card (MEDIA> FILE). The volume label can
be a maximum of eleven characters.
1. Make sure that the media you want to format is inserted.
2. Select the "Format" field to open the dialog box.
3. In Volume Label, specify the volume label name (see page
124 of the Operation Guide).
The previously-specified volume label will be displayed. If no
volume label had been specified for the media, or if a non-DOS
media was inserted, this will indicate NEW VOLUME.

Set Date/Time
Set Date/Time is available on the MEDIA> UTILITY page.
This is the date and time when the file was saved.
The KROSS does not contain an internal calendar or clock,
you must use Utility menu function Set Date/Time to set the
date and time before saving the file.

Unload PCM
When you execute this operation, the previously loaded option
PCM or user sample PCM data selected in the list is removed from
expansion sample memory.
1. In the MEDIA>EX PCM page, select the option title or
user sample title that you want to unload (remove).
2. Press the FUNCTION button and select Unload PCM; a
confirmation message appears. Press the OK (MENU) but-
ton to execute the Unload operation.
Note: Depending on the size of the PCM being unloaded,
executing this operation might take time.
Do not touch the switches or controls of the KROSS while
data is being unloaded. Never turn off the power of the
KROSS during this time.
