5.3 Configuring the Power Distribution Units

The power distribution units (PDUs) are configured with a static IP address to connect
to the network for monitoring. Ensure you have the following before connecting the
PDU to the network:
• Static IP address
• Subnet mask
• Default gateway
• Ethernet cables
• Laptop computer with either Oracle Solaris or Microsoft Windows
