5.9.7 UPnP
UPnP Internet Gateway Device (IGD) Standardized Device Control Protocol is a NAT port mapping
protocol and is supported by some NAT routers. It is a common communication protocol of
automatically configuring port forwarding. Applications using peer‐to‐peer networks, multiplayer
gaming, and remote assistance programs need a way to communicate through home and business
gateways. Without IGD one has to manually configure the gateway to allow traffic through, a
process which is error prone and time consuming. This device supports the UPnP Internet
Gateway Device (IGD) feature, and by default, it is enabled.
In "UPnP" page, there is only one configuration window for the "UPnP" function available to you
for function activation.

Check the "Enable" box to activate the UPnP function.
