M2M Cellular Gateway
The BGP Neighbor List shows all BGP neighbors definition. There also be one "Add"
button at the "BGP Neighbor List" caption that can let you add and create one new BGP
neighbor. The "Edit" button at the end of each BGP neighbor definition can let you modify it.
BGP Neighbor Configuration
To configure one BGP neighbor, you must specify related parameters including the neighbor IP,
the neighbor ID and neighbor activation by an "Enable" box. Following diagram is an example for
the scenario.
Scenario Application Timing
Most Internet service providers (ISPs) must use BGP to establish routing between one
another (especially if they are multihomed). Very large private IP networks use BGP
internally. An example would be the joining of a number of large OSPF (Open Shortest
Path First) networks where OSPF by itself would not scale to size. Another reason to use
BGP is multihoming a network for better redundancy, either to multiple access points of
a single ISP or to multiple ISPs.
Scenario Description
The BGP gateway dominates an autonomous system (AS) of networking and links with
Index skipping is used to reserve slots for new function insertion, when required.
