REAR SPROCKET DRUM
• Inspect the play of the rear sprocket drum bearing by finger
while they are in the wheel. Rotate the inner race by finger to
inspect for abnormal noise and smooth rotation.
• Replace the bearing in the following procedure if there is any-
thing unusual.
• Remove the sprocket drum bearing 5.
& 09921-20240: Bearing remover set

The removed sprocket drum bearing must be replaced
with a new one.

INSPECTION

REAR SPROCKET
Inspect the rear sprocket teeth for wear.
If they are worn as shown, replace the sprocket and drive chain
as a set.
REAR SPROCKET DAMPER
Inspect the rear sprocket damper for wear or damage.
If any defects are found, replace the rear sprocket damper with a
new one.
SPROCKET DRUM
Inspect the sprocket drum wear or damage.
If any defects are found, replace the sprocket drum with a new
one.
CHASSIS
Normal wear
Excessive wear
