5-55 CHASSIS
• Remove the pillion footrest bracket lower bolt 4, spacer 5,
swingarm pivot nut 6 and washer 7.
• Remove the right pillion footrest bracket 8.
• Remove the rear brake pedal 9.
INSTALLATION
Install the rear brake pedal in the reverse order of removal. Pay
attention to the following points:
• Apply SUZUKI SUPER GREASE "A" to the rear brake pedal
shaft.
* 99000-25010: SUZUKI SUPER GREASE "A"
• Install the right pillion footrest bracket 1.
• Install the washer 2, swingarm pivot nut 3, spacer 4 and
right pillion footrest bracket lower bolt 5.
• Tighten the swingarm pivot nut 3 and pillion footrest bracket
lower bolt 5 to the specified torque.
" Swingarm pivot nut: 57.5 N·m (5.75 kgf·m)
Pillion footrest bracket lower bolt: 55 N·m (5.5 kgf·m)
• After installing, check the rear brake for operating condition,
play and braking effect.
• Check the brake light lighting timing.
