"40" (P0505) ISC VALVE CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION
DETECTED CONDITION
When the ISC operation voltage
40
remains at 1.0 V or lower continuously
(P0505)
for 2 sec. or longer.
Idle speed is higher than the normal
condition.

INSPECTION
Step 1
1) Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2) Remove the right leg shield. (#5-6)
3) Check the ISC valve coupler 1 for loose or poor contacts.
If OK, then check the ISC valve resistance.
4) Disconnect the ISC valve coupler.
5) Measure the ISC valve resistance.
! ISC valve resistance: Approx. 35 Ω

POSSIBLE CAUSE
• ISC valve circuit open or shorted to ground.
• ISC valve malfunction.
• ECM malfunction.
