If the peak voltage measured on the ECM coupler is lower than
the specified value, measure the peak voltage on the CKP sen-
sor coupler as follows.
• Remove the rear center leg shield. (#5-8)
• Disconnect the CKP sensor coupler 2.
• Connect the multi-circuit tester with the peak volt adaptor as
follows.
+ Probe: Bl/Y lead wire
- Probe: G/W lead wire
Measure the CKP sensor peak voltage in the same manner as
on the ECM coupler.
$ 09900-25008: Multi-circuit tester set
' Tester knob indication: Voltage (()
! CKP sensor peak voltage: 2.0 V or more (Bl/Y – G/W)
If the peak voltage is lower than the specified value, check each
coupler connection or replace the CKP sensor and inspect it
again.
CKP sensor resistance
• Remove the rear center leg shield. (#5-8)
• Disconnect the CKP sensor coupler 1.
Measure the resistance between the lead wires and ground
using the multi-circuit tester. If the resistance is not as specified
value, the CKP sensor must be replaced.

& Tester knob indication: Resistance (Ω)
! Pick-up coil resistance:
180 – 280 Ω (Bl/Y – G/W) (When engine is cold)
∞ Ω (G/W – Ground) (When engine is cold)
