• Tighten the brake lever nut 4 and front brake switch screw

" Brake lever nut: 6 N·m (0.6 kgf-m)
Front brake switch screw: 1 N·m (0.1 kgf-m)
• When installing the master cylinder onto the handlebars, align
the master cylinder holder's mating surface C with the
punched mark D on the handlebars and tighten the upper
clamp bolt first as shown.
" Master cylinder mounting bolt: 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m)
• Connect the front brake switch lead wires.
• Install the front brake hose union bolt 4 with the front brake
hose washers 5.
• Tighten the front brake hose union bolt to the specified torque.
" Brake hose union bolt: 22.5 N·m (2.25 kgf-m)

* The removed front brake hose washers must be
replaced with new ones in order to prevent brake
fluid leakage.
* Bleed air from the brake system after reassembling
the master cylinder. ($2-16)
