11. TROUBLESHOOTING

Cause
Lamps on the control
panel remain unlit.
The document is not
scanned, although
it is moved to the
scanning position.
The document is not
transported properly.
The document is
not automatically
returned when the
scan is complete.
The scanned data is
completely black.

Confirm that the power switch has been
switched on.
Confirm that the power cable is properly
connected.
Confirm that the cable is properly connected
to the control device.
Confirm that the power outputs (+24 V, +5 V,
+3.3 V) are appropriate.

Confirm that the PAPER LED is lit.
Confirm that the SCSI cable is properly
connected.
Confirm that the appropriate SCSI-ID has
been specified.
Confirm that the parameters on the SCSI
host side are set properly.
Confirm that the SCSI cable is properly
connected within the scanner.
Confirm that the appropriate model has been
specified.
Other
Check for foreign objects in the document
scanning section.
Confirm that the roller rotates when you
press a control key.
Confirm that the feed motor is running.
Confirm that +24 V is output.

Confirm that "Front" is selected for "Paper
Control" in Scanning Master 21+.
Confirm that the document is properly fed
back.
Confirm that an appropriate white correction

Confirm that the image sensor cables are
