5. Shading (undesired gray line removal)

• This adjustment removes black or gray undesired lines caused by dirt after performing
calibration (white correction).
• Set DIP switch 2 on the scanner to "ON".
• Prepare four sheets of facsimile test chart No. 3.
(1) Display the "Adjust Scanner" window.

four sheets of the facsimile test chart No.3
(3) Select "Density Adjustment" from the "Adjust" menu.
(4) The following dialog box will appear. Click to check the "Grayscale" check box.
