(1) Remove the six silver M4L8 binding head screws inside the bottom section of the scanner unit and
loosen the rear rails.

(2) Remove the silver M4L10 binding head screw on the right-hand side of the image sensor unit and insert
into the screw hole adjacent to the original hole. Detach the glass base unit.
When replacing the glass base unit, be sure to clean the interior of the image sensor unit. A soiled or dusty unit can
affect scanning performance.
Reattaching the glass base unit
(1) Reattach the glass base unit by reversing the sequence of steps in which it was detached.
(2) Make sure the image sensor unit is properly sandwiched between the rear rails when securing them.
