10.5 Resolution adjustment check
Check the resolution and accuracy of the CS2000.
1. Paper-feed distance accuracy check
Use the adjustment test chart to confirm that distances measured on the scanned image are within ±0.05%.

2. Image-sensor offset (joint accuracy)
Use the adjustment test chart to confirm that the joints are within ±1 dot at four positions on the scanned
image for both primary and secondary scanning.

3. Offset check
Use the adjustment test chart to confirm that the left-hand solid rectangular scanning start mark is within 6 to
11 dots from the top of the scanning window.

4. Resolution check
Check the resolution using the MTF adjustment test chart.
• Start up OPS112.
• Open the scanning window, set the scanning conditions specified below, and start
scanning.
• Confirm that the resolution (six line pairs) can be determined.

The color intensities between the sensors must be virtually identical for the resolution pattern.
If the resolution pattern includes solid-colored sections (black or white), adjust the Intensity and confirm that the
solid sections are reduced and appear as vertical stripes).
