Timed fader pairs

The AB and CD fader pairs are timed faders through which you can play
back recorded cues. The two fader pairs are independent of each other.
You can playback cues in both fader pairs at the same time. The fader
pairs operate in two different modes: level override and proportional rate
override.
When you turn Expression on, it defaults to the fader mode in effect the
last time you used the console. You can select another fader mode from
the System Settings Menu.
Note: Executing a Diagnostic System Clear from the System Settings
Menu resets the faders to level override mode.
The procedure for playing back cues is the same in both modes. To
playback the highlighted cue in the cue sheet, press the [Go] key for the
fader pair in which you want to play the cue. To override the timed fader
and play a cue manually, set the cross faders to zero, then press [Go].
This enables you to control the fade manually, using the faders.
The principal difference between the two modes is that in level override
you can use the faders to manually control the fade levels. In propor-
tional rate override you use can use the faders to modify the recorded
fade rate.
Select level or proportional rate override modes from the System
Settings Menu. See page 8 - 57 for more information on System Set-
tings Menu options.
In level mode, move the faders to the lit LED's to take manual control of
the fade. Once you do this you can control the upfade and downfade
levels by manually moving the faders. The left (A and C) faders control
the upfade levels; the right (B and D) faders control the downfade. Once
you have completed the fade you can not reverse it.
In proportional rate override, move the faders below 5 to take control of
the fade rate. Once you do this, the upfade and downfade rate are
modified by the position of the faders. The left (A and C) faders control
the upfade rate; the right (B and D) faders control the downfade rate.
You can set the fade rate between 0 (Stop) and 100 (Instantaneous) .
Note: You can return to level override by pressing [Hold] [Hold].
