Rec

[Rec] indicates that you want to save a look that is currently on stage or
on the screen as a cue, group, submaster, or autoload . When you record
a cue using [Rec], levels are recorded only in the specified cue.
To save a look, press [Rec] . Expression assumes that you want to save
the look to the current mode you are in . For example, if the [Cue] LED is
lit, Expression assumes you want to save the look as a cue when you
press [Rec] . However, you can save a look in any of the preceding
forms, regardless of the active mode . In fact, you can save the same
look in as many different forms as you wish . To record a look:
1. Press [Rec].
2. If you want to save the look in the same format indicated in the
operator prompt, enter a cue, group, submaster or autoload number.
If you want to save the look in a format other than that indicated in
the operator prompt, press the appropriate key to indicate what form
you want to save the look in [Cue], [Group], [Sub] or [Autoload].
3. Enter a number to identify the look you saved, and press [Enter].
You can also indicate what form you want to save the look in before you
press [Rec] . If you try to record a look with a used number, Expression
displays the message, Cue recorded, (or whatever form you are saving)
flashing on the operator prompt line . If you press [Enter], the new look
will replace the previously saved look . To cancel the operation, press
[Clear] . You can then enter a different identification number for the look.
Note: If you record a modified cue that is in a playback fader pair, the
changes are reflected in the fader. That is, when you release the chan-
nels that you modified, the changes remain on stage.
Example
[Rec] [Cue] number [Enter], or [Rec] number [Cue] [Enter] both record
cues.
