Chapter 6 Using print and disk options
Disk management
Expression's disk drive lets you save up to two shows per standard 3.5-
inch computer disk .* This allows you to work on more than one show at
a time or to use more than 400 cues for your production by loading a
second show into memory after the first 400 cues .
* If you have installed expanded memory, only one show may be saved
per disk.
We recommend that you make two back-up copies of each show on
separate disks and that you keep them in different locations . If your
show disk were damaged, a back-up disk stored at home could save you
hours of work.
When you select disk options, any fades in progress are stopped .
Therefore, if you need to load an additional show in the middle of a
performance, load it between cues when all channels are static . Disk
options do not affect channel levels that are not currently fading.
Before you can use a disk in Expression , you must format it on the
console . Formatting instructions are on the following page.
Note: If you read a show that you saved from an Insight console,
Expression will not read the submasters from the disk. Likewise, if you
record a show on Expression and read it in an Insight console, you will
not be able to read submasters.
