Verifying a show on disk

The Verify show on disk option compares a show that is recorded on
disk with the show in memory . Expression indicates if the shows are
identical or not .
You may want to use this option to verify that your disk is not damaged
and that your show was copied to the disk without any errors . You might
also use it to compare backup copies of a show with the current version
in memory.
To compare a show recorded on disk with the show in memory, follow
these steps:
1. Insert disk in disk drive.
2. Press [Set Up] .
3. Select 3, Verify show on disk, and press [Enter] .
If either show one or two is currently recorded on disk, the screen
displays the message, Recorded, or the date recorded if you have
the Real Time Clock option . If no show is recorded on disk, Expres-
sion displays the message, Not recorded.
4. Select either show one or two, and press [Enter] . Expression
compares the show you selected from disk with the show in
memory .
If you receive a Verify failed message, you may have any of the
following problems: show on disk is not the same as show in
memory; disk is damaged; console did not record show to disk
correctly.
If you receive this message, repeat the read or record operation
immediately . If it recurs, try a new disk.
The message Configurations differ, cannot verify indicates one of
the following: show on disk was saved on a different type of ETC
console or different software version; show on disk has different
system settings (such as softpatch, numbers of dimmers and
channels) than show in console.
