Chapter 7 Accessories
Naming cues, submasters and groups
You can use the alphanumeric keyboard to assign names to cues,
submasters and groups. Names can consist of letters, numbers or the
symbols: #, %, &, *, (, ), +, ', -, [, ], / as well as the comma and period.
Follow these steps to name a cue or submaster:
1. Press [Stage], [Blind] or [Fader] to select a display mode.
2. Press [Cue], [Submaster] or [Group], then use the Expression
number keys to select the desired look.
3. Press [F1] on the alphanumeric keyboard, and type the desired
name. You can assign cues and groups names of up to 25 charac-
ters. Submaster names can have up to 10 characters. Group names
can have up to 25 characters.
You may enter the name using overwrite or insert mode. In over-
write, you type over any previously entered characters; in insert
mode, each new character pushes the previously entered characters
one space to the right. Press [Insert] on the keyboard to toggle
between insert and overwrite mode.
4. Press [F2] to delete all text in the naming window.
5. Press [Enter] on the alphanumeric keyboard to record the name, or
press [Esc] to quit and return to the original Expression display
screen.
