Simple brake control

The holding brake must not be used as a working brake.
When holding brakes are used, the special technological and machine-specific
conditions and standards for ensuring personnel and machine safety must be
observed.
The risks involved with vertical axes, for example, must also be taken into
account.

Commissioning

Simple brake control is activated automatically (p1215 = 1) if the Motor Module has
an internal brake control function and a connected brake has been found.
If the component does not have an internal brake control function, control can be
activated via parameter (p1215 = 3).
Caution
If p1215 = 0 (no brake available) is set when a brake is present, the drive runs with
applied brake. The can destroy the brake.
