Electromagnetic compatibility

Definition
Electromagnetic compatibility refers to the capability of electrical equipment to reliably
perform its dedicated function in an electromagnetic environment, without causing
interference in the same environment.
The ET 200S distributed I/O system meets the requirements of the European Union's EMC
law, for example. This requires that the ET 200S distributed I/O system meets the
specifications and directives concerning electrical installation.
