Emergency Flash of the Management Blade Firmware

With the procedure described below you can upgrade the
firmware, if a BMC upgrade via LAN is not possible.
Requirements
– The blade server is connected to the power line.
– The files all.bin, upgrade.bat and uplod.exe exist in a folder of the client PC
disk.
You can download the files required for the BMC upgrade from the

software pool http://service.abg.fsc.net/support/softwareAssist.asp.
Proceed as follows:
Ê Connect the serial cable from the management blade to an external PC.
Ê Activate HyperTerminal (see
Ê Remove the management blade (see
Ê Set jumper at jumper JP2 (1) from position 13 - 14 (normal mode) to position
1 - 2 (recovery mode).
