Removal and Installation Routines

Ê Turn ON switch 3 of the main board DIP switch.
Ê Close the server blade and insert it into the blade server chassis again (see
page 02-BX600-73).
Ê Insert the BIOS flash diskette in the USB floppy drive and connect it to the USB
port of the server blade using the USB break out cable (see
02-BX600-31).
Ê Press the KVM button on the server blade control panel (see
02-BX600-31) to route the keyboard, mouse and monitor to the KVM blade.

After a short beep sound the server blade will be in recovery mode. The
processing status of the BIOS upgrade is displayed at the KVM console. When
the BIOS recovery process has finished, information about the next steps to be
performed will be displayed at the KVM console.
Ê Switch off the server blade.
Ê Remove the server blade from the blade server chassis and open it.
Ê Turn OFF switch 3 of the main board DIP switch.
Ê Close the server blade and insert it into the blade server chassis.
Now you the server blade is ready for use again.
