Troubleshooting

System power LED remains dark after switching ON the system.
Power cables are not plugged in correctly
Ê Make sure that the power cables are correctly connected to the power
supply units and to the mains socket strip of the rack (see
02-BX600-28).
Power supply overloaded
Ê Unplug the power cables from the insulated sockets of the PSUs.
Ê Wait a few seconds and plug the power plugs back into the socket strip
of the rack.
Ê Switch ON the server.
Front identify / fault LED blinks amber
A fault has occurred somewhere in the system.
One of the power supply units has failed
The PSU status LED blinks green if there is an error in the corresponding
power supply unit e.g.:
– General failure
– Overtemperature
– Overcurrent
– Over- or undervoltage
– The PSU is reaching its end of life or is operating in an environment that
exceeds
the specified limits.
The PSU fan failure LED blinks green if any of the fans are not working
properly in the corresponding unit.
Ê Check the PSU status and/or fan failure LEDs to identify the defective
unit (see
page

02-BX600-34) and exchange it .
