Recovering the Server Blade BIOS

This section describes the procedure for recovering the server blade BIOS.
Use this procedure only in case of failure.

Requirements
– The blade server is connected to the power line.
– The server blade is switched off.
Creating a BIOS Flash Diskette
Ê Unzip the ZIP file s71xxxx.zip to your disk (xxxx = BIOS version).
You can download the files required for creating the BIOS flash diskette

from the software pool
http://service.abg.fsc.net/support/softwareAssist.asp.
Ê Insert a diskette into your floppy drive.
Ê Run the program crisdisk to create a BIOS flash diskette.
Recovering the Server-Blade BIOS
Ê Connect the mouse, keyboard and monitor to the KVM blade on the rear of
the server (see
