Remove Boot Drive

1. Identify the Boot drive you want to remove.
The amber Service Action Required LED might be lit. For specific drive locations,
see
2. Remove the boot drive (
a. On the drive that you want to remove, push the boot drive release button to
b. Grasp the boot drive latch and pull the drive out of the drive slot [2].
Caution – The boot drive latch is not an ejector. Do not bend it too far to the right.
Doing so can damage the latch.
Caution – Whenever you remove a boot drive, you should replace it with another
boot drive or a filler panel before you power on the server; otherwise the server
might overheat due to improper airflow.
