Ensure that the voltage and frequency of your power source match the voltage
and frequency inscribed on the equipment's electrical rating label.
Follow the electrostatic discharge safety practices as described in this chapter.

Required Tools

The Sun Fire X4270 M2 Server can be serviced with the following tools:
Antistatic wrist strap
Antistatic mat
4 mm Hex wrench
No. 2 Phillips screwdriver
Straight-edge screw driver
Stylus or pencil (to power the server on and off and to press the CLEAR CMOS
button)

Obtaining the Chassis Serial Number

To obtain support for your server, you need your chassis serial number. The chassis
serial number is located on a sticker on the front of the server and on another sticker
on the top of the server.
