Upgrading the tape drive firmware with a drive monitor program
involves the following steps:
Before you begin
Before accessing the drive monitor program, you must set up the
following hardware and software environment:
ΠHost computer that uses an RS232 serial port.
ΠA straight-through 9-pin serial cable (not a null modem cable)
ΠNew firmware for the tape drive. You can download new
