Rack Cooling
Depending on the type and amount of equipment in the rack area, a cooling unit may be
required. The decision is based upon the charts in the L700 Tape Library Systems Assurance
Guide, part MT5008.
A cooling unit is required if you are installing the American Power Conversion (APC)
redundant AC power option.
Conversion bill numbers for the cooling unit, are listed below.
Note: A separate power cable must also be ordered for the cooling unit.

APC Power Backup System
The APC redundant AC power option consists of two batteries, a power monitor switch,
and power strip. If this system is installed in the library, a cooling feature (mentioned
above) is also required.
