a. For each port to be configured, type a port name of 24
alphanumeric characters or less in the Name field. The port
name should characterize the device to which the port is
attached.
b. The switch provides two port buffer pools of 235 receive
BB_Credits each (470 credits total). Ports 0 through 3, 8
through 11, 16 through 19, and 24 through 27 share buffer pool
zero. Ports 4 through 7, 12 through 15, 20 through 23, and 28
through 31 share buffer pool one. Each port can be assigned
between two and 120 credits, provided the total credits
allocated to all ports in a pool does not exceed 235. The default
value is 12 credits per port. Type the desired value in the RX
BB_Credit column.
c. Click the check box in the LIN Alerts column to enable or
disable link incident (LIN) alerts (default is enabled). A check
mark indicates alerts are enabled. When enabled and a port
incident occurs, an alert indicator (yellow triangle) displays at
the Hardware View and a message is sent to e-mail recipients.
d. Click the check box in the FAN column to enable or disable the
fabric address notification feature (default is enabled). A check
mark indicates FAN is enabled. When enabled, an FL_Port
transmits FAN frames after loop initialization to verify FC-AL
devices are still logged in.
