Tools and Parts Required to Replace the T640 Hardware Components

NOTE:
Before you replace most host subsystem components, such as a
control board or Routing Engine, you must take the host subsystem offline.
However, it is not necessary to halt the host subsystem to insert or remove
a PC card.
You must power off the Routing Engine before replacing a CompactFlash
card or solid-state disk in a Routing Engine.
Table 50 on page 218
lists the FRUs for the router.
