CAUTION:
To comply with intrabuilding lightning and surge requirements,
intrabuilding wiring must be shielded, and the shield for the wiring must be
grounded at both ends.
WARNING:
The intrabuilding port(s) of the equipment or subassembly is
suitable for connection to intrabuilding or unexposed wiring or cabling only.
The intrabuilding port(s) of the equipment or subassembly MUST NOT be
metallically connected to interfaces that connect to the OSP or its wiring.
These interfaces are designed for use as intrabuilding interfaces only (Type
2 or Type 4 ports as described in GR-1089-CORE, Issue 4) and require isolation
from the exposed OSP cabling. The addition of primary protectors is not
sufficient protection in order to connect these interfaces metallically to OSP
wiring.

Specification
Operating range: –40.0 to –72.0 VDC
NOTE:
If the input voltage from the DC power
source drops below –37.5 to –39.5 VDC, the
router automatically shuts down. During
automatic shutdown, the circuit remains active.
When the input voltage returns to –43.0 to
–44.0 VDC, the router automatically starts up
again and the system returns to normal
operation within 30 minutes. No operator
intervention is required.
