Removing a CompactFlash Card in a T640 RE-C1800 Routing Engine
The CompactFlash card is located in the slot labeled
To remove the CompactFlash card (see
Place an electrostatic bag or antistatic mat on a flat, stable surface.

Verify that the

DISK1
are off.
Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect

the strap to one of the ESD points on the chassis.
Using a Phillips (+) screwdriver, number 2, loosen the captive screws on the corners
4.
of the cover over the Routing Engine slots.
Remove the cover from the Routing Engine slots.
5.
CAUTION:
Do not remove the cover if any of the LEDs are lit.
Press the eject button on the right side of the CompactFlash card slot to release the
6.
CompactFlash card.
The CompactFlash card pops partially out of the slot. Grasp the card and pull it
7.
completely out of the slot.
Place the CompactFlash card on the antistatic mat.
