config bgp routerid <router identifier>
Description
Changes the router identifier.
Syntax Description
router identifier
Specifies a router identifier.
Default
N/A.
Usage Guidelines
BGP must be disabled before changing the router ID.
BGP selects routes based on the following precedence (from highest to lowest):
• weight
• local preference
• shortest length (shortest AS path)
• lowest origin code
• lowest MED
• route from external peer
• lowest cost to Next Hop
• lowest router ID
Example
The following command changes the router ID:
config bgp router-id 192.1.1.13
